Terms and Conditions

BOOKING PROCEDURE
  
Bookings are not valid until a booking confirmation document is sent by email or fax from Powder Haven and 
the booking has been secured by a credit card payment. The booking details are as per that of the confirmation
document. Any error in calculation of charges in a booking confirmation document shall be amended to the
advertised prices.
  
PAYMENT
 
All charges are in Japanese Yen and are normally made by Credit Card.
  
DEPOSIT
 
A deposit of 30% of the Accommodation Charge or JPY50,000, whichever is greater, must be secured by credit
card payment at the time of booking. The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled within 7 days.
After 7 days the deposit is not refundable.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE AT THE TIME YOU PAY YOUR
DEPOSIT.
 


BALANCE
 
Is to be paid in full no later than 60 days prior to first day of occupation or within 7 days of booking, whichever
is the later. In all cases the Accommodation Charge must be paid in full before the commencement of
occupation.
 
CANCELLATION POLICY
 
Cancellation within 7 days of confirmation -no charge.
Cancellation before 60 days prior to commencement of the booking – 30% of the Accommodation Charge.
Cancellation after 60 days but before the first day of the booking – 100% of the Accommodation Charge.
Money paid for additional guest services will be refunded in full.
 

DAMAGE TO APARTMENT, FIXTURES AND FITTINGS, & SECURITY DEPOSIT
 
You accept responsibility for loss and damage to the accommodation, fittings, furniture and keys during your
occupation.
Your personal possessions are at your own risk during your occupation.
 

CHECK IN / OUT
 
The accommodation is available for occupation from 3.00 pm on the first day of booking. The accommodation
must be vacated before 10.00 am on the last day of the booking period.
 
CLEANING / TOWELS / LINEN
 
Powder Haven Townhouse is a private residence and will be cleaned before and after your stay. There is no cleaning during your stay. Two fresh towels will be provided for each guest and they can be washed and dried in the townhouse's laundry. Fresh bed linen will be replaced weekly for long stays.
 
NON-SMOKING
 
Our property is non-smoking. Where guests are smoking in rooms and continue to smoke after being requested not to smoke, you will be evicted from the property without any refund. Where guests have smoked in rooms they will be charged the additional cleaning costs AND costs incurred in compensating later guests who are affected by the smell of smoking.
 
You accept these terms and conditions in full when you have confirmed your booking with us.
